The date has been set for the court hearing of a suit filed by suspected billionaire kidnapper, Evans, against the police.  

July 13 has been fixed by the Federal High Court in Lagos for hearing in a N300m fundamental rights enforcement suit filed by suspected kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike a.k.a. Evans, against the Inspector-General of Police, Punch Metro reports.

Evans, through his lawyer, Olukoya Ogungbeje, filed the suit last week urging the court to order the police to charge him to court or release him immediately.

He urged the court to award N300m damages against the police in his favour for his alleged unlawful detention without being charged to court.
